iPhoneArt.com and the Santa Monica Art Studios bring the LA Mobile Arts Festival to Santa Monica. Arists of iPhoneography and underground mobile arts will be featured in nine days of interactive digital art—imagery, sound , video, sculpture and performance art at the Santa Monica airplane hangar. Stop by if you’re staying in beachfront hotels in Santa Monica to see new and interesting art!
On Saturday, August 18, you can view the art at Venice Beach Photowalk on Ocean Front Walk from 10am to 1pm. The opening gala will be held at Santa Monica Art Studios, open at 6pm to artists, sponsors, media and VIP guests and at 7pm to the general public.
Special events of the Mobile Arts Festival include the iPhoneography Salon at CoWorks on August 19 from 7-10pm. On August 20, there will be a study in nude iPhoneography at Temple City Photo Studio for $125. On August 21, Doug McNamee will be hosting an iPhone Shooting Gallery at Santa Monica Art Studios from 7-9:30pm for $40. All events have limited space available, so be sure to RSVP!
Free events at the LA Mobile Arts Festival include an iPhoneography Salon at CoWorks on August 19 and iPhone Obsessed with Dan Marcolina at Coloft from 7-10pm on August 24. You can also view some of the iconic art at the Santa Monica Third Street Promenade Apple Store on August 22 from 7-10pm. Enjoy some tunes by the beach at the Santa Monica Pier and view mobile art at the Sunset Photowalk on August 23.
