Get a chance to reminisce on your favorite childhood Disney movies at the Creating Arts musical productions. The Creating Arts Company has recreated three of the most popular Disney productions in history including Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and Winnie the Pooh. This company was established in Los Angeles in 2011 and is comprised of talented performers who are dedicated to entertaining audiences young and old. Parents are encouraged to bring their kids to experience these theatrical productions. Kids will truly enjoy and appreciate the songs, dances, props, costumes and elaborate stage decorations. If you're staying in Santa Monica, all three shows will run all the way through to June 30 so you’ll have the opportunity to see each one. Here is a brief synopsis of each show:
Peter Pan: A Mini Musical
If Peter Pan was one of your all-time favorite Disney movies, then make sure to attend this mini musical. Kids three and up are encouraged to attend this show. Let this musical bring you into the mischievous adventures of Peter Pan and his friends. This musical will transport you to the fantasy of Never Neverland where you will meet the Lost Boys, Princess Tiger Lily and Captain Hook. Bring your kids to enjoy this interactive musical filled with awesome singing and dancing. To get the audience involved, children will receive a toy instrument that they can play throughout the musical. This definitely will make you feel like part of the show. After the show make sure to stay for a meet and greet with the actors. You will have a chance to take pictures and get autographs from these talented individuals.
Sleeping Beauty: A Rock Opera
Discover the fairy tale classic of Sleeping Beauty at the Rock Opera musical. Princess Aurora’s story is told through 60’s and 70’s classic rock songs. This opera will have you singing and dancing. Little girls will appreciate the heroic actions of the handsome prince to save Princess Aurora from the evil black fairy. The cast of Sleeping Beauty will take you on a magical journey that the entire family will enjoy.
Winnie the Pooh: Twinkle Theatre
For a toddler-friendly show, then make sure to attend the Winnie the Pooh show. Sing and dance along with Winnie the Pooh and his friends including Eyore, Tigger, and Piglet. This show does not involve any scary villains, so your toddlers will not feel intimidated or afraid. This is the perfect show to bring your little ones.
