Los Angeles isn’t the entertainment capital of the world for nothing! This summer, LA’s premier outdoor movie food truck and live music event series Eat|See|Hear returns for 17 straight weeks! The season kicks off Memorial Day Weekend on May 26th with “Anchorman” at the Memorial Greek Amphitheater at Santa Monica High School.
Eat|See|Hear will host the largest screen West of the Mississippi, featuring a 52-food wide image with HD all over Los Angeles. Movies will be screened every Saturday night until September 15th. Residents and visitors will be able to see some of the best comedy and”feel-good” films Hollywood has to offer. Guests are advised to bring a picnic blanket or low beach chair as most venues do not have proper seating.
The doors open at each event on Saturday night at 5:30pm. Guests can dine at food trucks and socialize while waiting for the band to play. Bands start playing at 7pm, and the movie will begin approximately 30 minutes after sundown at around 8:30pm. Pets are allowed at most locations.
Each film is $10 general admission. A limited amount of “Fashionably Late” passes are available online for $20 which reserve premium reserved seats. Children $12 and under are $8. Parking will vary from venue to venue but most are free or low-cost. You can buy tickets here.
Movies will be screened in Santa Monica at least twice during Eat|See|Hear’s 17-week run. The Big Lebowski will be screened at Santa Monica High on June 23. Other venues include Centennial Square at Pasadena City Hall, the Bloch Field at the Port of Los Angeles, Paul Revere Charter Middle School, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising/Grand Hope Park, the North Hollywood Recreation Center, Hollywood Recreation Center, Long Beach Recreation Center, La Cienega Park, Westwood Recreation Center and Northridge Little League. For a full list of films playing, view the event schedule. If you’re staying at hotels near Third Street Promenade this summer, be sure to check out one of these nights!
