Cinco de Mayo celebrates the 1862 Mexican victory over the French army at The Battle of Puebla. Every year locals and tourists come to Virginia Avenue Park for the Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Featuring cultural performances including mariachi music and salsa and folklorico dance performances, the fiesta will also showcase educational activities, games for kids of all ages and a wonderful variety of delicious food. Hundreds of people attend this annual gathering.

The festivities will be held at Virginia Avenue Park and are free to attend. Everything begins at 1 p.m. and lasts until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. For more information visit www01.smgov.net/CincoDeMayo.
Driving Directions from Our Hotel to Virginia Avenue Park:
1. Head northwest on Ocean Avenue toward Santa Monica Boulevard and go 472 feet.
2. Take the 1st right onto Santa Monica Boulevard and go 1.7 miles.
3. Turn right at Cloverfield Boulevard and go 0.9 miles.
4. Turn right at Pico Boulevard, go 390 feet and Virginia Avenue Park will be on the right-hand side.
