If you’re staying in hotels in Santa Monica CA this summer, you’ll have to check out the KCRW Twilight Concert Series on the Santa Monica Pier! It’s a summer tradition for the city now in its 28th year. Genres of music range from show tunes to street music, and musicians will travel from Mali, Cuba, Australia and Jamaica just to play at the Pier.
The “Sonoma on the Deck” Wine Beer Lounge is located on the Pier looking onto the beach. Guests can enjoy wine, beer and the music of the Twilight Concert Series with a great view of the Santa Monica Bay sunset. Beer and wine are $5 and $8 respectively. Featured drinks include locally-owned, award-winning Solsticio Wines from Argentina, California and specialty beer.
All concerts are from 7 to 10pm and no tickets are necessary as they are all free to the public. Donations will be accepted online or at the Pier booth. Parking is available on a first come first served basis at the 1550 Pacific Coast Highway Lot. Free bike valet is available next to the beach bike path south of the Pier. Bring beach chairs and blankets to sit on the Pier deck or beach. Picnic food is allowed but no alcohol. Bring a sweater or jacket as it can get chilly after sunset.
