Do you love to spin? If you’re staying in hotels near Santa Monica beach you should sign up for Santa Monica’s Pedal on the Pier. The Harold Robinson Foundation will host an annual bike ride at the Santa Monica Pier. All proceeds will go towards a camp experience for underprivileged children.
When you register, you “buy” a stationary bike for the day. You can share the bike with a team of co-workers, friends or family members or ride the 100 miles yourself. The goal is to raise $500,000 to send 20 inter-city schools to camp retreats. Each rider/team must raise a minimum of $2500 towards the Harold Robinson Foundation.
You won’t be spinning alone! Keiser Bikes and Kinetic Cycling’s John Scarangello along with other popular instructors will lead you through a day of bands, DJS, celebrity guests, vendors, food , drinks, energy, and so much more.
Pedal on the Pier was organized as a way to raise funds for the Harold Robinson Foundation which aids in providing underprivileged children the means to attend a safe and nurturing camp environment to experience nature. These children will be able to participate in recreational programs to grow independent, build character and develop leadership skills. If you do not wish to ride you can donate to a team here.
The event opens at 9:30am, but spinning doesn’t start until 11am. It will take five hours to ride 100 miles. Admission to the event is a minimum $100 tax deductable donation. Sponsors of the ride include Yelp, Mizzfit, FitPerez, Ryka, Malibu Beach Inn, Avia, Keiser, Kinetic Cycling and CTO Consultant, LLC. Sign up today to participate in a ride for a great cause!
