Shopping Galore in Santa Monica!

Santa Monica is famous for its shopping, and this holiday season there is more to see and do than ever before. Whether looking for high end boutique pieces for a loved one, big brand names for family members or toys for the children, the range of shops located in this special area means everyone can find what they want. The city has eight districts, each with its own unique character – plus being only 13 miles away from Los Angeles makes it ideal for a full day of shopping fun across the two! If you’re in hotels near Third Street Promenade, spending the day enjoying all of Santa Monica’s offerings is the way to go.

3rd Street Promenade is one of the best-known shopping areas, being pedestrian access only and full of treasures. This year’s Official Holiday Tree is located here too, being lit on December 12th, making it a perfect centrepiece to an evening’s holiday shopping and helping everyone get into the holiday spirit. Pico Boulevard is known for its music shops and intense creativity – housing perfect presents for the music lover in everyone’s life. Down at Pico Boulevard East End, the collection of creative establishments are opening their doors on November 30th for an afternoon and evening of promotions and entertainment, including carol singers, Santa’s visit and seasonal treats. A fabulous barbershop quartet will be roaming the boulevard singing their harmonies, and there will be numerous photo opportunities to capture holiday memories – as well of course the opportunity to buy souvenirs at discounted prices.

Of course, the fashion boutiques of Main Street and Montana Avenue are perhaps what most people immediately think of when contemplating a shopping trip in Santa Monica – and they are undoubtedly amazing places to look for those perfect party outfits and stylish gifts. Montana Avenue is celebrating the season between December 6th and 17th – meaning everyone can enjoy the festive spirit while shopping in style.

Though each of the 8 districts have their own unique characters, each one of them knows that the holiday season is full of joy and a time for celebration. Sharing in that festive mood while finding perfect presents is an experience in itself, and not to be missed.
